I co-op hoard like mode I think would be a good addition.
It would reach to those that like shooters but may not the pvp aspect

I think it should be an actual game mode not mod. Such as how Team Fortress 2 has man VS machine or how Murder Miners has a zombie horde survival. I think having this mode would make the game have more than simply PVP game play and as Lump said possible appeal to more people.

I all down for pvp but sometimes I just want to hook up with friends and mow down a shit ton of baddies :-D

I also find this mode is useful for mismatched skill levels. My friend who sux blends in with the team when we play Halo in campaign mode.

If we put a game on deathmatch, he's toast.

Local multi-player with split screen please.

Monsters crawling up and down corridor walls
group sight lines (hive mind)
air ducts for flaking (one by one tunnels behind the walls with branching 'vent' tunnels)

special Variant mob can remove/destroy Vent blocks only.(to let others through
& make the engineer's PICK necessary)

?short sighted but radar hearing?

co-op offensive map(s):
infultrate & destoy nest

co-op defensive/survival map(s):
defend plasma cage from Variant (steal , but drop/place @death)
if you can read this your to close
