Mission Type - Bug Hunt

Postby Timpraetor » Sat Aug 16, 2014 3:48 pm

A Bug Hunt contract is where you can really make a lot of cash. You will be provided with a number of bugs to kill - sometimes, it will be a specific type of bug like Venator or Septinar. Other times, it will be any type of bug.

The number of stars assigned to the mission define how difficult the mission will be - this ranges from the number and frequency of bug attacks to the types of bugs that appear. The higher the star level, the more probable it is that you will be handed your hat and shown the door very quickly if you're not playing multi-player.

Do not bother crating any mined materials since you won't get paid for any transported materials. Save any mined materials for a mining mission.

One good tip for bug hunts, if you're not dying once you meet the contract goal, don't evacuate immediately. More Bugs == MORE GREDITS! Also, be sure to collect any biomass blocks that were created by killing bugs. DG HQ seams to like it a lot - So that's what's in those emergency protein rations!

If you have created and installed any automated weaponry, power systems, or special items such as bio scanners, be sure to collect them with your engineer before extraction or they are lost when yo leave the mission.

I recommend doing that in any game mode you put them in. Once you get to the Tier 3 equipment, its quite an outlay of cash. Id also recommend taking the time to pick up any bio mass your hunt has produced.

That's where we all need to team up and start reporting gamertags for people to avoid sharing games with.

Theres a 4star bug hunt that you need to kill, 20 LAXITARS! Only laxitars spawn and theres about 30+ right when you spawn. I have bin in two, one I joined and one I hosted. If you start one, and your recon doesn't have the iron sight, your dead. if you have the iron sight hit the laxitars twice in the mouth. Once to brake the armor and one to kill it.

Updated with new info about crates!

If you do have a chance to mine, you are paid immediately upon crate transport, so crate away before extraction and get rich!
