Another developer question

So, I have been told that only the inner 62x62 pixels of a terrain texture are used in the render. That would give each 80x80 texture a 9 pixel gutter (80-9-9=62). However, in the TS_ColNormSpec_Un_62.xml file:

<SheetWidth>880</SheetWidth>
<SheetHeight>880</SheetHeight>
<TilesWide>11</TilesWide>
<TilesHigh>11</TilesHigh>
<TileSize>80</TileSize>
<GutterWidth>8</GutterWidth>

Having a gutter width of 8 would give a 64x64 pixel texture. Is this just a typo, or is this the value that is used to render?

Hah! That's a good question...... I'm actually going to have to look into that, since the code is pretty old...

Okay, pretty sure I got it. we offset the texture lookups a half pixel (to avoid sampling issues) so we added that one extra in padding, and another on the other side to keep it a power of 2
so the 62 by 62 center is indeed correct, and the gutters are 9 wide/tall

Ok great, so I take it the same was done to the normal maps as well? So instead of a 16 pixel gutter it would be 18 pixels?
