A Request from the Gristmill Team

Postby Gristmill » Fri Jan 24, 2014 11:56 am

Going forward we'd like to ask members of the community to refrain from replying to feature request posts (especially by that of newcomers) with a response along the lines of "that's already been posted" or "use the search tool"

Though we understand and agree that it is generally best if there is one post for one idea and all the discussion is there, we've seen that the ideal's enforcement simply brings a negative cast to these forums and probably turns off a lot of new friends who were just excited and wanted to throw some cool ideas at us. Seeing new people constantly request the same features also actually helps us gauge what is really exciting to lots of people, as we see the recurrence again and again.

TLDR: Don't bother people who re-post old ideas. We understand why, but the world is not ideal and the cost is too high. Thanks!
