Imagine items based on Xenotech. They would become unlocked after collecting a certain amount of Xeno blocks. For Example:
Xeno Armor= collect 1000 Xeno wall blocks; has a high chance of not taking damage Drawback: 4X cost to repair than top regular armor
Xeno pick= 1000 Xeno conduit, 50 Xeno doors, 10 Xeno power cores; Extremely quick pick, uses less power when harvesting Xeno tech or placing blocks. Drawback: Short range
Xeno Weapon= 500 Xeno conduit, 500 Xeno material(the dark purple blocks), 40 Xeno doors, 25 Xeno power cores; Extremely powerful laser. Drawback: consumes massive energy
Of course, the price tag for any of these would be huge. I mean, if you're gathering this stuff for a corporation like they are not going to attempt any reverse engineering on any of this? And with the rarity of the tech gather missions and time limit, it could take a while to achieve the requirements for such items. Any thoughts, or other ideas along this line?
